Summary In progress
The current month: figures to date, updated every hour.
As of November 1, the largest block producer held more than a third of Mina's active stake on its own (a Nakamoto coefficient of 1), unchanged from the end of October 2026.
- The 10 largest block producers held 93.8% of the stake, unchanged from the end of October 2026.
- Overall the stake was as spread out as 6 equal stakes (an HHI of 1,799).
- 57 block producers were active, 1 more than at the end of October 2026.
- The month is still in progress: the figures are to November 1 and change daily until the report closes on December 1.
How stake is spread
Stake of the active block producers, their own plus delegated. Each value is the month's last reading, with the month's range and the change since the end of October 2026; the line shows each day.
-
Active block producers
Made at least one block in this epoch or the last one.
- 57
- Steady so far · +1 vs Oct
-
Nakamoto coefficient
The smallest number of validators that together hold more than a third of the active stake: enough to stall the network if they colluded. Higher is more decentralised.
- 1
- Steady so far · no change vs Oct
-
Top 10 stake share
The share of the active stake held by the ten largest validators.
- 93.8%
- Steady so far · no change vs Oct
-
HHI
The Herfindahl–Hirschman index: every validator's percentage share of the active stake, squared and added up. It runs from near 0 (stake spread thinly) to 10,000 (one validator holds it all); n validators with equal stakes score 10,000 ÷ n. Lower is more decentralised.
- 1,799
- Steady so far · −0.7 vs Oct
How this report is made
Every hour, BitBasic takes Mina's current set of active block producers from the data it collects and works out the figures; the last reading of each day is kept as that day's figures. Days and months are in UTC.
Each figure's value is the month's last daily reading; the range is its lowest and highest daily value, and the change compares it with the last reading of the month before. A month is partial when some of its days have no reading, for example before BitBasic began recording Mina, and the summary lists the days that are missing. The current month is in progress and changes every day; shortly after a month ends it is closed and its report is kept as it was.
Stake figures count each active block producer's stake, its own plus delegated, as BitBasic last read it; stake outside the active set doesn't count. The Nakamoto coefficient is the smallest number of the largest holders that together have more than a third, because a third is enough to stall a proof-of-stake network; exactly a third is not counted as more.
